  Dr. Kegels Intentions
In 1946 Dr. Arnold Kegel invented, the Kegel Perineometer (para-knee-om'-iter), consisted of an vaginal air-pressure cone or chamber connected by an air tube to an air-pressure gauge whose dial was calibrated in millimeters of mercury.

Even know his device did not provide resistance as the KEGELMASTER™ does. This device enabled a woman (and her physician) to observe the strength and duration of her pelvic muscle contractions.

Over his career Kegel claimed to be successful in eliminating incontinence in 93% of some 3,000 patients. All of his patients used his biofeedback device on a twice or three times daily basis. The KEGELMASTER™ is based upon these principals that physicians commonly overlook today. Kegel exercises are only effective when the patient is doing them correctly and can have instant feedback on the exercise being performed.
Doing Kegel exercises without this information can actually hinder the patients ability to control urine flow resulting in increased leakage.

Kegelmaster Information
The KEGELMASTER™ is a progressive resistance vaginal exerciser designed to perfect pelvic floor exercises. The contacting and relaxing of these muscles is commonly referred to as Kegel Exercises. This exerciser has been designed to increase the muscular strength and improve circulation of blood to the vagina. The goal of this exercise is to increase the strength of the muscles that (1) stop the flow of urine, (2) contract during sexual orgasm and (3) support the bladder, uterus and rectum. The KEGELMASTER™ uses the basic dynamic resistance exercise principals. These principals are shown to be the most effective in reconditioning weakened or damage muscles.

These principals of exercise are used in medical and rehabilitation facilities, health clubs and sport training facilities. The Kegelmaster's resistance will strengthen vaginal muscles that are underdeveloped or weakened by childbirth and age. How Does it Work?
The KEGELMASTER™ uses four surgical grade stainless steel springs to create the desired resistance. For a futher explanation of the spring tention settings click here. Once the desired tention is achieved the KEGELMASTER™ is then inserted three inches into vaginal opening. Located on top of the KEGELMASTER™ is the patented safty stop.

This stopper safly allows the user to limit how much the KEGELMASTER™ opens. This is very important to prevent unnessary pain or discomfort. The KEGELMASTER™ is the only product that uses a variable extention setting. Unscrew the stopper until the vaginal extention is comfortably achieved. Adjust your unit by turning the knob counterclockwise until you feel pressure. An abdominal push will cause the unit to slip out.
This is the incorrect muscle group. Focus on muscles that close the KEGELMASTER™™ when done correctly the exerciser will be securely held in place.

The exercise sequence starts with 3 sets of 30 contractions, each contraction should be held for 2-5 seconds. Remember to rest for a minute between sets. Perform this exercise once a day until continence is achieved.

Then three times a week is adequate to maintain desired effect. 30 contraction + one minute rest + 30 contraction + one minute rest + 30 contraction + equals 3 sets of 90 total contractions for an estimated time of 10 minutes.
